Return battery indicator to greeter

I'm on Xubuntu 15.04 and some time between lightdm-gtk-greeter 1.8.5 and 2.0.0 the battery indicator has been removed from the greeter. I've attempted to add "External library/service (power)" to the panel but without success. Is it possible to return the battery indicator to the greeter panel?

i suggest you report a bug. Vivid is not ready and not stable

If it's a possible bug I'll wait a few weeks until 15.04 has been in stable status before reporting a bug. I thought it might have been removed.
