How to get the TrayIcon back?

Asked by Florian Sievers

I don't want Liferea to be hidden in the panel in this Messaging thing. I want to get back the TrayIcon of Liferea into the SystemTray (at toplevel), so I don't need hundrets of extra clicks to read my feeds. But how to do that?

Well, sooner or later they'll skip 'notification area' anyway and that it didn't show up in indicator was reported as Bug #540490, that's life.
Afaik applets in notification area are in startup applications, maybe you need to enable it there.
Or ask users at freenode.
