Where are the man pages for libxdamage?

Asked by Chris

I cannot find the man pages for libxdamage. I checked libxdamage-dev, xorg-dev, and libxext-doc.

Manual pages usually are only provided for executable commands, but libxdamage consists only of a shared library and a header file. So apparently man pages for libxdamage do not exist.

Maybe one of the references found in a google search can help in understanding how to used the routines:
http://cgit.freedesktop.org/xorg/proto/damageproto/plain/damageproto.txt

Thanks for the tips. It's historically pretty common for man pages to exist for library functions (section 3, usually) , like XLib (https://cgit.freedesktop.org/xorg/lib/libX11/tree/man) and some of the extensions (https://cgit.freedesktop.org/xorg/lib/libXcomposite/tree/man, https://cgit.freedesktop.org/xorg/lib/libXext/tree/man, https://cgit.freedesktop.org/xorg/lib/libXrandr/tree/man).

Too bad there aren't any for XDamage. I really thought I had seen some years ago, but I guess not. Oh, well.
