middle-click the desktop switcher to launch Expo

Asked by David Prieto

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

There is currently no way to launch the expo function of Compiz using only the mouse. It would be great if, when Expo is active, you could middle-click the workspace switcher to activate it.

It would be handy and wouldn't detract from current functionality.

Thank you for taking the time to report this issue and helping to make Ubuntu better. Examining the information you have given us, this does not appear to be a bug report and subsequently we are closing it and converting it to a question in the support tracker. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but it would make more sense to raise problems you are having in the support tracker at https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu if you are uncertain if they are bugs. For help on reporting bugs, see https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs .

Actually, there is a way.

Using compizconfig-settings-manager you can configure your expo plugin to be activated by moving the mouse to a corner of the screen or by clicking one of the mouse buttons

Can you help with this problem?

Provide an answer of your own, or ask David Prieto for more information if necessary.
