Asked by Chris Fisichella

Hi,

I am running Ubuntu 16.06. I am need on libusb-1.0-0_1.0.20-1_amd64.deb. I tried clicking the link and nothing happens on this web page:

https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/xenial/amd64/libusb-1.0-0/2:1.0.20-1

Can someone help me get that file for Ubuntu 16.06?

Best Regards,
Chris

What exactly do you want to achieve?

1. There is no "Ubuntu 16.06."
2. If this is a typo and should read "Ubuntu 16.04.", then please note that Ubuntu 16.04 is not supported any more (except for ESM, which is a paid option for extended security support for servers), see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Releases
3. Instead of downloading package files from a server you should use the package management system to do the download and installation. In your case the needed command most probably is
sudo apt install libusb-1.0-0

Hi Manfred,

Thanks for replying. The computers this package is destined for are off the network, so I need to download them. I will look into the paid option to see if we can get the package.

Best Regards,
Chris

If you need to manually download the package, then you can access it from
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+archive/primary/+files/libusb-1.0-0_1.0.20-1_amd64.deb

And I just realized I made a mistake. I need libusb-1.0-0-dev. Can I trouble you for a link for that .deb file?

Visit https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libusb-1.0 and click on the triangle besides "2:1.0.20-1" below the heading "The Xenial Xerus (supported)" to unfold the details for the version of libusb in xenial. There you find links to all packages.

The file that you need probably is
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+archive/primary/+files/libusb-1.0-0-dev_1.0.20-1_amd64.deb

Hi Manfred,

Thanks for providing that link. If I had known about it earlier, I could have saved you some trouble. Thanks for sending that libusb-1.0-0-dev_1.0.20-1_amd64.deb file.

Best Regards,
Chris
