To be honest it doesn't appear to me as something which we need to squeeze into karmic now, we have still quite some number of release critical bugs to fix and the last thing we need now are more regressions. 10.04 will be an LTS and get 1.1, while Karmic is more like a tech preview anyway :-)
How many people tested the packages from the PPA in current karmic? (Just to get a sense of how well this was tested)
