updating text information in linked frames

Asked by John F. Dunbar

I have 2, equal sized text frames on the same page and have linked them (they show the diagonal link line when either frame is active). I have entered text content in one frame and want the identical content to appear in the other frame. I also want to edited the first frame and have the second frame update.

Hi John

The purpose of linking frames is to have the text entered in the first frame flow into the second frame when the first frame is full.

There is no automatic function, that I know of, to synchronise the content of two frames so the always have the same text in them.

It is possible that a macro can be written to do this, but I am no expert in macros, so I cannot help you with them. You can try some of the other sources of help for LO, see http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/ Maybe, on AskLibO or the IRC channel.
