unable to mail merge email merge

while sending i receive following error

<class 'smtplib.SMTPSenderRefused'>: (530, '5.7.0 Must issue a STARTTLS command first. ro7sm8716509pbc.8', <email address hidden>'), traceback follows
  /usr/lib/python2.7/smtplib.py:722 in function sendmail() [raise SMTPSenderRefused(code, resp, from_addr)]
  /usr/lib/libreoffice/program/mailmerge.py:237 in function sendMailMessage() [self.server.sendmail(sendermail, truerecipients, msg.as_string())]

iam useing Google Apps users email id

i tried following settings

Out goong server(SMTP) settings
server name : smtp.gmail.com PORT : 465

in server authentication

incoming mail server

server name : imap.gmail.com PORT : 993

while TESTSETTINGS it is hanging

Pl help

Hi Prasad.

You should normally send mail through your ISP's smtp. Most ISPs will not accept mail and relay it to another smtp server.

Who is your ISP?
