Asked by Frixp

Libre office cal gets corrupted and data is not found or saved when the power supply fails. When power is restored I check the files it is not saved and the file is blank. What should i do to stop this ? as my major work is done on office cal i am facing this problem very often. Whenever i click recover files option i find the file is blank. Can you please tell me how to recovery the corrupted files.

Random power offs will affect any app. Systems do not like sudden power drops and it will cause data damage as well as physical damage to system components.

Have you considered a UPS?

There is an autosave feature you can use. Go to Tools > Options... > Load/Save > General and make sure 'Save AutoRecovery information ...' is checked. You may want to set a shorter interval as well.

If your data is AutoSaved before the power fails, you will be told that the document can be recovered. If you ask for it to be recovered, then it will be correct up to the last AutoSave point.
