fonts-opensymbol codes list

Asked by dino99

For my needs with wine1.4 on ubuntu 12.04 i try to find details about the fonts-opensymbol provided with libreoffice and also used with wine to replace wingdings font.

I need to use up & down arrow symbols inside a program, so with wingdings font, i'm coding the 233 & 234 codes to draw these arrows on a chart. But with opensymbol, which is the default font used now, these 233 & 234 codes dont give arrows but "é" & "ê"

The documentation about the fonts-opensymbol cant be found, thats strange for something called "open". Where to get the details list for opensymbol as wingdings provided ? Is it an unicode issue ?

I suggest you report a bug. Precise is NOT ready and NOT stable.

well as i've found its an unicode transition issue, as opensymbol is quite fully unicode now. But i've had to launch Calc to know about this font details codes, thats a pain, even gucharmap cant give the codes used.
