libreoffice no icons

Asked by Neil

hi
I am having a problem with libreoffice the icons have been replaced with text.

for example the back button has gone so have all the others just leaving text in the button no icons.

and also I can not adjust things like lines. I can click in the line button (again no icon) I can draw a line but the end points are not there so I can not make it shorter or longer only move it.

I right slick to get the position and size box the only thing working there is the place to change the angle to change it. 40 degrees for example. the box next to it on the right has no dots (radio buttons I think they are called)

help
I need it working
Thanks
Neil

If you close all libreoffice apps then run:

mv ~/.libreoffice ~/.libreoffice_old

Then rerun the app, is it better?

Yay Fixed it..

here is how for anyone else with the problem
I first uninstalled all of Office not sure if I needed to or not.
Open terminal and type
sudo apt-get purge "libreoffice*.*"

then reinstall from Ubuntu soft ware centre
