laptop hanging if opening libre writer, calc

I am using Ubuntu 11.04. If I am opening libreoffice writer or calc then my laptop hangs. I have to restart it and then it starts working. I have noticed that if I am copying some thing from LO ( like email, mobile number) and want to paste in my yahoomail then it hangs.

if you make a new user, does the same happen if you log in as the new user?

I think I would suggest making a bug report. Open a terminal and type

ubuntu-bug libreoffice

Follow the instructions and give as much information as you can in your bug report. Especially, give a good description of your laptop's make, model and specification.
