Why does LibreOffice launch when opening a folder?

LibreOffice launches unexpectedly when opening some, but not all folders. I can't determine why this happens on certain folders but not others. It's an annoyance, and it's not set as a default application in System Settings.

My LibreOffice version is 3.4.4 on Oneriric 3.0.0-13-generic-pae, 32 bit. I don't think it's an issue on my 64 bit partition, but I only use the latter for testing Alphas.

Open nautilus and right click a folder, select open with other application and select nautilus. Click the box to remember the association and click ok
