Libre Office 3 - Writer - Frames

Asked by srikumar

Using Ub 11.10 with Libre Office 3 - Writer Printer HP 1020.

There are some Frames in the word document which have a rectangular border which can be printed. However every time the document is saved and then re-opened the border round the frame disappears and has to be re-dome using Frames > borders. This is a laborious process since there are many frames in this document.

This started happening only after the upgrade to Ub 11.10 it was OK with Ub 11.04.

Is there any default setting that need to be adjusted. Even setting the border in the styles menu does not work.

Any suggestions please?

Thank you
srikumar

Hi Srikumar

I assume you are saving as a MS Word .doc file - I have a tried that and do get what you describe.

I do not have a problem if I save as a LibreOffice .odt file.

So if you want the file in .doc format, then you will need to do a bug report as marcus aurelius suggests.

What I would suggest is that while you are working on the file, keep it in .odt format, then you will not have to keep re-doing the borders.
