changing printer settings on office writer

Asked by sally-ann barbera

My printer is printing letters in the top left hand side the size of a postage stamp. I cannot find the way to change the settings with this software (LibreOffice Writer). I go into File>Print>General>Properties>Paper Size (here it always says "Letter", I have tried changing it A4 and it still does this and won't stay at A4 either), then Print and it comes up small. Can you please help?
Thanks

Hi Sally-Ann

When you do a Page Preview (File > Page Preview) does this show the same?

If it does, go to File > Print > Page Layout tab, and check to see if you have it set to something like 16 pages per sheet.

No it shows it normal size. I don't have it set to 16 pages per sheet. Maybe I should reinstall the printer? It only started to do this after I changed in the ink cartridge, have no idea why.

You were right! It was set to 9 pages per sheet but I had to open the printer info in another application to find that.
Thanks very much for your help.
