How do I add a font to Libre Office?

Asked by Susan Toogood

I have a favourite TTF that I had added to my previous version of Ubuntu's office suite. I'd like to add it to Libre but I can find a way of doing it. Thanks for any help.

Copy the file to
/usr/share/fonts

Then run:
sudo fc-cache -f -v

Thanks for that. I just logged back in to answer my own question. My answer was to open the .ttf file using Font Viewer and click on the install button. When the button changed to "Installed" I checked in Libre but the font was still not visible. I did a restart (scarily reminiscent of Windows!) went back into Libre and yea the font was there. Cheers
