Can't use LIbreOffice Base when running Ubuntu 11.04 from CD

I am running Ubuntu 11.04, as a trial, from the CD on a Presario with an AMD CPU and 1 GB of RAM. It runs really slowly! When I open LibreOffice, the Base icon is grayed out. Are these issues because I am running from the CD, or is the Presario insufficient for Ubuntu 11.04?

Hi...the base is not installed by default I believe. If you open the ubuntu software centre you can search for libreoffice base and install it.

The live cd will run slowly, as it's running from the ram. If you install it to the harddrive it will run quicker
