opening documents on other drives

Asked by Denny F

This seems like a really dumb question but I can't find any references to my external usb drive when I go to "file-open". The dialog box doesn't seem to have any apparent reference to access drives other than my Linux filesystem. I have an external Freeagent drive (always mounted) as well as the NTFS filesystem where Win 7 resides. The previous OpenOffice system had references to all my drives so I could open files on them. Am I missing something or is this release missing something?

I just tried it with a usb I had hanging around it just shows up as the actual size of the usb "1GB File System" it used to say USB stick or something like that in OpenOffice. It should be the same on your screen also. Must be either a thing with Libre or Natty Warhal.

It worked fine on OpenOffice, but this LibreOffice seems to be missing this function -- a very important function at that!

Can you help with this problem?
