activate spelling check in libreoffice?

Just installed Libre Office in place of open office. I don't think spell check is working. Do I need to install it? if so what is the proceedure? Thank you in advance for for any solution. kevin

Libreoffice has a help feature. There you can learn a lot about the basics.
