updating to 2.1.1

Asked by ravas

2.1.0 fixed a lot of crashes, memory leaks and a case where LibreCAD silently runs in the background (stuck in a loop),
not to mention many other things...
The latest release was 2.1.1, June 20th.

Is something preventing an update here?

If you are using Trusty, then this PPA will give you it:
https://launchpad.net/~alex-p/+archive/ubuntu/notesalexp-trusty

I'm not using Ubuntu, but we have had several users ask about this.
I'll inform them about that PPA; thank you.

This is the Ubuntu support forum, so not using Ubuntu and posting here is a little weird

Ubuntu users are posting on our forum and github issues page,
instead of here or on your forums.

LibreCAD is a 100% volunteer based project,
and no one seems willing or able to offer a PPA.

Is there anyone who is considered a maintainer of the LibreCAD package here?
Is there a more appropriate place to be asking about an update?

The LibreCAD package on Ubuntu is maintained by the group https://launchpad.net/~librecad-dev

If you create a bug report stating the bug fixes and improvements of the new version, then it might be updated in the next Ubuntu releases.

I tried contacting Scott several ways without success;
although, posting here apparently got his attention.
The daily PPA has been updated.
Thanks.
