Trouble installing LibreCAD from a Universe source

Asked by Ben Mordecai

I'm fairly new to Ubuntu, and I'm trying to install LibreCAd from the software center, but when I look to install it, there is not an option, only a prompt to "Use this source."

I already have the source enabled, and after I authenticate it I get no confirmation or ability to download the program.

I've also tried sudo apt-get install LibreCAD but I got: Unable to locate package librecad.

I am using a fresh instal of Ubuntu 12 on a VirtualBox VM.

It's in the universe repo. Can you give the output of:

grep universe /etc/apt/sources.list; lsb_release -a; uname -a

Thanks

The problem was related to a new installation that apparently had a large queue of updates I hadn't seen, so I couldn't get anything new until I followed through with the update.
