libpod 4.3.1+ds1-6 MIGRATED to testing
The package is still under development.
Backports will be decided after its release.
The package is for Debian Bookworm, currently Debian is on Bullseye.

See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuBackports for the process of backporting the newest version that is available in the development version of Ubuntu to an older release.

Currently the versions of libpod in the Ubuntu releases are as follows (see https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libpod )

23.04: 4.3.1+ds1-5ubuntu1
22.10: 3.4.4+ds1-1ubuntu1
22.04: 3.4.4+ds1-1ubuntu1

A quick check of the dependencies shows that libpod 4.3.1+ds1-5ubuntu1 depends on libsubid4 (>= 1:4.11.1) which is not available in jammy yet. So a backort of libpod 4.3.1 from lunar to jammy would need backporting the shadow package first (and maybe more). I am not optimistic that this will be done, but you are invited to create a request for doing that.

There seems to be a PPA that already has done the backport, see https://launchpad.net/~quarckster/+archive/ubuntu/containers
