Fading out Notification when Text cursor is near to it

Hello,

I was editing some text in gedit today and marked some text in that place, where a notification popped up.
I think it were nice if fading out the notification wouldn't only work if mouse is near to it, but also the cursor.
I don't know what the effort is to implement that functionality, but maybe it's a good idea,
