static libnetfilter-queue in saucy?

Since updating to saucy, libnetfilter-queue* packages no longer includes libnetfilter_queue.a. This was available in lucid, precise, and quantal, and the changelogs don't note any changes like this. The package description still states "This package provides development files and static libraries."

Is this an oversight, or are static programs with libnetfilter_queue no longer supported?
