liblivemedia is out of date

Hi,

Even in Hardy liblivemedia is very old: 2007.02.20-2. Ross from live555 released many versions since this one. Many bug corrections, new features etc..

Would it be possible to update to 2008.04.09 ?

I don't think it will happen so soon. Maybe file it as a bugreport-wishlist under Ubuntu for the liblivemedia package?

ok. I'll do. for the moment I used PPA to compile a patched version implementing the things I needed.

Yeah, there are a couple packages that are out-dated (it seems this number is getting larger?) There really isn't much you can do but file a wishlist and compile your own. :-\
