iOS10 broke 1.1.5

Asked by Bob Sisson

I am runnig Linux Min 17.3 with Libimobiledevice 1.1.5 Worked GREAT until I loaded iOS10 on my iPad.

Now I get weird error messages (-1,-20, -16, -256) and can't get at my files.

Supposedly iOS10 works with version 1.2, but that isn't available yet for Linux Mint Cinnamon 17.3 through the software manager.

HELP !

I have having to boot into windows to get at my files.

How/when can I get 1.2 so I can get back to work without having to load that 'other' OS just to get into my iPad?

I am running
1.1.5+git20140313.bafe6a9e-0ubuntu1.1
Linux Mint 17.3 2.8.8 3.16.0-38-generic
