version 0.9.1 vs. 0.10 in Ubuntu Oneiric

Asked by Christian Hilberg

Hi,

Ubuntu Oneiric ships version 0.9.1 for libgdata, which is an unstable one according to http://live.gnome.org/libgdata. Stable version 0.10 had been released alongside GNOME 3.2, if I'm informed correctly, current stable is 0.10.1.

Will it be possible to upgrade libgdata to version 0.10.x in Ubuntu Oneiric? I'm developing for Evolution 3.3 / 3.4, and the current master branches were recently changed to require version >= 0.10 of libgdata.

If libgdata cannot be upgraded to >= 0.10 for Oneiric, I cannot use this platform for my 3.3 / 3.4 development of Evolution and Evolution-Data-Server.

Please let me know whether or not an upgrade is possible for libgdata in Oneiric.

Thanks in advance,
Christian

You could report a bug stating why it should be included. Bug and security fixes will get it included. The fact that it is newer without good reason will not
