Missing newest version of libfprint - 0.99.0

Asked by Vasyl

There is a newer version 0.99.0 available - https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/libfprint/libfprint/releases released 6 months ago. Is it going to be updated/integrated anytime soon?

Latest release brings important things like support for more Elan devices and updated internal processing library.

My system is Linux Mint 18.3 Sylvia, kernel 4.10.0-42-generic #46~16.04.1-Ubuntu. Latest available version for it is 0.6.0 which is way too old and misses support for Elan devices (which my notebook has). But I think for other system versions the answer would be helpful as well.
