Unable to print using Canon LBP2900B

Asked by VIVEK

Dear Sir,
I am a new to Ubuntu 10.04 and I like many things in it. But I'm unable to print using my printer Canon LBP2900B. I've downloaded some .deb files from the Canon website and tried to install them. The Installation was successful and when I turned my printer on after some time it displayed "LBP2900 ready to print". But when I asked it to print a test page it displayed processing and after some time Completed but no paper went in or came out of the printer.
Please help me. Till now all my requirements were fulfilled in Ubuntu 10.04 and if could install my printer in it then I would have transformed from XP to Ubuntu completely.
Thank You.
VIVEK ROY

I suggest you remove the current printer, then set up a new one. You may be able to search the filesystem for the PPD which makes the printer work.

Can you help with this problem?
