Precise is EOL and no longer supported in any way by Canonical or the Ubuntu community.
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Releases

I suggest you upgrade to Trusty (Ubuntu 14.04 LTS) which you can do in one jump (LTS to LTS upgrades are supported).

Alternatively, you can wipe the current install off of the system and do a clean install of Xenial. Xenial is LTS and supported til April 2021.
