Enabling sessions with mod_auth_gssapi doesn't work on 22.04

Asked by Jonas Aspegren

Everything works except when enabling sessions. Then it keeps creating new cookies and writing the following in the logs:
Failed to unpack session data

The last update on the Github repository for mod_auth_gssapi is for a bug with OpenSSL 3:
crypto: Handle EVP changes in OpenSSL 3
https://github.com/gssapi/mod_auth_gssapi/commit/06d1f7d36d2455747e6e8231d28e6524ea1181f1

Compiling the latest version from the Github source makes the sessions work as intended again, or so it seems to me anyways.

I'm guessing this is due to the package being compiled from an older version that isn't really compatible with openssl3 and should be considered a bug, but since I'm quite new to posting bugs for a package I'd rather just post it as a question first and see if anyone else can confirm my assumptions.
