[urgent]Why no LAM beyond 5.2.1 in Repo?

Asked by Sebastian

Hi there,
On my server are PHP7.0, so I would like to use PHP7 Support in LAM which is provided by LAM5.3+. In your description is mentioned it should work with PHP7.0 but in practice I get
"PHP Fatal error: 'continue' not in the 'loop' or 'switch' context in /usr/share/ldap-account-manager/lib/modules/nisNetGroupUser.inc on line 562" Error.

Since I would like to implement LAM in a running project, I need a fast solution.
Best Sebastian

You could compile it yourself. You may need to satisfy deps manually.

If the release you have doesn't have the application you need by default you can always jump to a different distriution

Debian Stretch has a later version:
https://packages.debian.org/stretch/ldap-account-manager

You could spin up a new box using that instead.

What is really frustrating is that Ubuntu is shipping a version of ldap account manager that doesn't support php7 and isn't providing a php5 package. So is ldap account manager no longer being supported?

Can you help with this problem?
