Problem installing landscape-common

Asked by Jesua

When trying to make an update trhough Update Manager landscape-common looks blocked and tried to make the intsall through terminal like:

sudo apt-get install landscape-common

But receioved the following message:

Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.

Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that
the package is simply not installable and a bug report against
that package should be filed.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
landscape-common: Depends: python-smartpm (>= 1.2-0ubuntu1) but it is not going to be installed
E: Broken packages

I am using Ubuntu 8.10

Did you run apt-get update? Also, are you sure you are running 8.10? The error message suggests that you are using jaunty (9.04) sources

Yes, I am with 8.10, but the problem dissapear after I make several apt-get update's, so I guess the problem was some update missing...
