It keeps saying That LIRC Is disabled.

After I click on any game It says the LIRC is Disabled but my uncle recently gave me linux I don`t know how to use this emulator of some sort. I was wandering if you could tell me how to fix this problem?

LIRC is short for linux infered controler, unless you have an infered device (for a remote control usually) hooked up to your computer, this is normal.

well It wont load the rom I`m not a computer expert, but I was wandering if you could tell me step by step how to load all of the componits because I think it dosnt work due to the fact I rescently got linux so It still dosnt have all of the componits

componants? ubuntu comes with everything you need by default unless you have some restricted devices, you can install the drivers for them by going to system -> administration -> Hardware Drivers

from what i remember of Kxmame all it does is run mame for you, and mame is rather fickle in that it won't run your rom unless its in a very specific format that changes from version to version and the version of mame that kxmame uses is quite old.

you can install sdlmame however from the repos or run the windows version of mame in wine (see: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Wine for help on running windows software through wine)
