kubuntu 13.10 keyboard don't work in de, after login...

Asked by marcobra (Marco Braida)

On a just installed kubuntu-desktop (package) in 13.10 on a multi-de desktop, coming from 13.04 to 13.10 going on unstable "saucy" upgrades.

keyboard don't work in kde, after user login... cannot input any keys (with session on keyb is working if i switch to pseudo tty " ctrl+alt+f1 , f2 "), so seem is only the DE that don't catch the keyb input... also mouse is working good...

Same issue on two different user: main user 1 and a new created user 2...

Keyboard works on all other DE also in kde - openbox session, seems some related to kubuntu-desktop settings only.

I also don't have window decoration on kubuntu-desktop.

Is there some place where i can delete settings or dress something (i already tried removing entire ~/.kde directory ) ?

Or is this related to xorg and 3d rendering (i don't have it on this poor vga) ?

my vga:

01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] RV280 [Radeon 9200 SE] (rev 01)

Thank you

This is very old. If this is still an issue please provide information from a supported release.
