Complete uninstall kubuntu

Asked by Triyambakesh

A few months ago, I installed kubuntu within my ubuntu 10.10 by selecting program in the synaptic package manager. Now I want to uninstall Kubuntu completely. Please guide me. Today I had tried uninstalling this by de-selecting the boxes of kubuntu in the synaptic package manager. still the kubuntu desktop remains unaffected expect for 25 packages were uninstalled. I want to use only Ubuntu 10.10. Please help.

Note: I do not use kubuntu. Take what I say with a pinch of salt

However, you should be able to simply change your default session when you login at the bottom of your screen to use Gnome rather than KDE. This option is after you enter your username and before you enter your password
