Where can I find a dictionary file for ktranslator?

Asked by Jordi Perelló Gelabert

When I try to add a dictionary then ktranslator asks me for the path in which the dictionary is. I suppose there is no dictionary on my system and i have to downlad it from the net but I don't know where. Maybe via apt-get install? I don't know. Thank you for your help.

Ktranslator supports different types of dictionaries. See http://ktranslator.sourceforge.net/dictionaries.html and http://ktranslator.sourceforge.net/manual04.html for more details.

Thanks for the question.

I think you have to download a dictionary for the dict server process first. See

http://ktranslator.sourceforge.net/dictionaries.html

I hope this helps

Many thanks for your answers! They were helpful for me! Thank you very much and to all the people contributing to GPL'd software!

I went to http://ktranslator.sourceforge.net/dictionaries.html, downloaded some dictionaries, following the instructions on that web page. Finally, I clicked the "Preferences" button in the ktranslator GUI, surfed to the "Dictionaries" section and I chosed "Add". All I had to do were follow the instructions that ktranslator gave to me.

I hope this will help anyone who can have the same ignorance than me. I'm sorry for my probably poor english.
Have fun!
