Thanks for you question.

Jamendo (http://www.jamendo.com/) and Magnatune (http://magnatune.com/) have a nice selection of DRM-free music.

No good sorry. Nothing happened

I didn't get your question. You might want to give us more information on what you want to achieve.

I'm trying to download music. I have ktorrent but can't work out how to search for anything

Markus Thielmann (thielmann) said : #6

Well, you'll find most free music on Jamendo and Magnatune. As it's much easier to handle than search torrents, you might want to look there?

What kind of music do you like? There a few more portals offering free music.

Still not able to download. It says stalled all the time. Someone mentioned seeds and peers what ever they are?

I think you're unable to start the downloading of file(s) using torrent? Please note that it might be illegal to do so ;)

Anyway, read this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bittorrent to know what Bittorrent is all about.

After that, check that the port(s) you're using to down/uploading are open (you can install Firestarter to open/close ports) and forwarded from your modem. http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/routerindex.htm might help with that task.

Can you help with this problem?
