Asked by Ragnar

Hiya all! Here's the problem: My OS is Debian. Tried varios torrent clients, forwarded ports in router, used firestarter. The result sucks - slow speeds. 15k instead of 180! Any suggestions?

the trouble with bittorrent is that your download speed is greatly limited by the number of seeders you have, how good your internet connection is, etc... in reality it's just as much of a problem with your seeders as it is with your configuration. In addition, your ISP could be throttling your connection speed...a lot of different ISPs do this to try and discourage or prevent people from using P2P file sharing. How is your regular download speeds from say, downloading a really big picture from the net?

Can you help with this problem?
