How can I extract the original .torrent files from KTorrent?

Asked by FakeNamePleaseDeleteMe

I have a couple of stopped gigantic torrents which contain thousands of files, I keep them around because I didn't download all the files. But I didn't keep the .torrent files for them.

Is there a way to get the .torrent file from KTorrent?

I think it is in $HOME/.kde/share/apps/ktorrent/tor0, tor1, tor2, ...
Each torX directory contains a file called "torrent". This is the copy of the original torrent file.

How do I know which tor is connected to which .torrent?
Do I have to look into all those directories?
Don't tell me that.

If you look at the log file ($HOME/.kde/share/apps/ktorrent/log), there should be such lines in it (after starting the torrents):

Sat Feb 13 08:09:50 2010: Loading /home/username/.kde/share/apps/ktorrent/tor0/
Sat Feb 13 08:10:02 2010: OutputPath = /path/to/where/you/download/the/torrent0
Sat Feb 13 08:10:02 2010: Loading /home/username/.kde/share/apps/ktorrent/tor1/
Sat Feb 13 08:10:03 2010: OutputPath = /path/to/where/you/download/the/torrent1

The OutputPath is where you chose to download the contents of the torrent, so you can probably find out, which torrent it is.

Thanks for the answer.

Is there a possibility to reinject the tor directories into KTorrent?

Can you help with this problem?
