Getting ktorrent to work within virtual vmware ubuntu on windows

Hello!

I am an ubuntu and torrent rookie, and no big techie either, so please bare with me.

I am trying to get ktorrent to work within my vmware virtual machine on ubuntu. The host is Windows XP Professional, and has a firewall installed (Symantec protection agent). I am using a wireless network.

1) Firefox works excellent from within virtual machine, no problems in connecting to internet
2) ktorrent does not seem to connect properly, and after a while it shows status "stalled". 0 kb has been downloaded.

I should also add that ktorrent works fine from the Windows Host.

Any ideas?
