How do you search for things to download with ktorrent?

Asked by szaemon

I'm using Fiesty Fawn. My desktop is gnome.

The only other p2p I've used is Shareaza in Windows. Is ktorrent good to go right "out of the box"? Or does it need some configuring? I can't seem to find a search button like I'm used to with Shareaza. Is there one and I'm just not seeing it?

Hello !

Ktorrent is a BitTorrent client, and it comes only with the torrent features ... If you want to download something using the BitTorrent protocol, you have to find on the net (there is no search available in any torrent client, Win/Linux/Mac alike) a .torrent file and open it with your client ...

You should be able to find .torrent files using you favorite search engine ...

Regards,
Benoît
