kstreamripper version packaged with ubuntu seems rather old

Asked by Marianne Ibbotson

The version of kstreamripper packaged with Ubuntu is 0.3.4, and does not seem to have certain functions that the latest version (0.7.74) has, like being able to set up a relay of the stream you're ripping (so you can listen to the stream without opening two connections to it, saving bandwidth for whoever provides the stream). In fact the 0.7.74 version looks much more advanced and feature-complete than 0.3.4. Is there any chance this package could be updated? Thanks :)

I found a lucid PPA with it:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ferramroberto/linuxfreedomlucid; sudo apt-get update; sudo apt-get --reinstall install kstreamripper

Should do it
