How do I view the contents of a network drive?

Asked by Craig McAllister

I'm new to Linux and have encountered the problem of viewing the contents of a network drive. How can I do this with Krusader?

depends on the technology used. You can most likely use:

smb://<servername>/<sharename>

e.g.

smb://fileserver/music

but this is for windows and samba linux shares, you have not given a great deal of detail so I can only guess. If you can tell us how the folder is shared then we can advise better. The share could be implemented with SSHFS or FTP.

if this is not supported in krusader then you can easily add a line to /etc/fstab to mount the device at bootup, you can then simply access the mountpoint on your system and you will have access.

Thanks
