MOTD changer plugin

I would find a plugin that changes my MoTD periodically very useful (I would like to circle through lines of a poem, one per day). If I had the time, I would start deciphering the source of Kopete myself, I guess, working a plugin like this out would take one or two days, no more. Can I find something like this somewhere, or should I start programming one?

I don't know of any plugin that would do this. You might try and find where the motd is stored (which file) since it might be easier to accomplish your goal with a simple script than a full plugin.
