using kopete 0.60.4 yahoo connecting forever is there a fix?

it seems the old yahoo connection bug has hit me , and im not shure if it has been fixed or can be .
backtrack 4 rc2 kde 4.1.4 kopete 0.60.4 will provide any information required
have tried both username and yahoo address but still "connecting" forever and never connecting

Since the package may well (and looks to be) different from Ubuntu this would not be the place to find a solution. Not saying you can't but I was trying to offer you direction.
