online/offline switch changing Icon only.

Knetworkmanager is not managing Wired connection. Switch to online/offline mode doesn't do anything and changes Icon only. its pops up Network Configuration control window on clicking on 'Manage Network' though.
Knetworkmanager was working fine a last week. i am updating Feisty daily. it stopped responding after second last upgrade and now it changes Icon only after last upgrade.
