Is the NetworkManager KDE plasma widget working in Kubuntu 11.04?

I know that until 10.10, Kubuntu's networkmanager KDE plasma widget was not working properly.
Namely, there was no way to define a system wide network connection.
Is it working now in 11.04?

It doesn't work! I've checked with Live DVD.
This is really annoying, though.
