My imbalance account if full of $0.00 amount entrees.

I just imported data to KMymoney and the imbalance account has many entries, all of which have $0.00 for the amount. The balance of the imbalance account is $0.00. May I just delete these entries in the imbalance account or will that also delete the original entries in the check register? If I can't delete them, how do I get rid of them?

Where did you import the data from, and what is that imbalance account you mention? Also, what version of KMyMoney and Ubuntu are you using?

Sorry not to have thought of giving more detail. I'm using 64-bit Hardy and KMyMoney 0.8.8. The import was from GnuCash which apparently has an imbalance account (named Imbalance) where I believe out of balance transactions are stored. However, as I mentioned, all the amounts are $0.00. I guess I could try deleting one and see if the corresponding entry in the check register is still there or not.

You could try that. I think it is an issue originally from GnuCash. Make a backup and try to delete the amounts in Imbalance.

I deleted a few transactions from the imbalance account with no ill effects, so I'll get rid of the rest of them and delete that account. Thanks for your help.
