Date format in the ledger

How can I change the date in the ledger to read MM-DD-YYYY?

KMymoney2 respects the localisation settings of KDE. The installer of kubuntu somehow sets the language correctly, but keeps the localisation setting to "C" - default, i.e. English. Switching to your localisation will most probably also fix your date format (same goes for floating point numbers, e.g. in German).

You can change the localisation in the control center / system settings, in the section for regions / localisation / language settings ("Regionaleinstellungen & Sprache" in the German translation.
